Service Award: Jim Leach, 25 Years

Jim Leach was born and raised in Laredo TX. He obtained both a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in forestry from Stephen F. Austin University having spent four years in the Navy between the two degrees. He worked from 1977-1980 in the Forestry Division of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, then worked for the Conservation Commission until 1983.

Following a brief stint in private enterprise Jim returned to the Commission in 1985 and has remained with the W.Q. Division since. Jim has held positions of Monitoring Coordinator, Data Coordinator, Assistant Director, Interim Director, and is currently Finance and Costshare Director for the Division and is an invaluable asset to the Division and its success!!

Jim lives in Edmond with his wife Dianne and has three sons and six grandchildren.
