Shanon Phillips Recognized for 10 Years of State Service
Shanon is the Senior Technical Writer and Quality Assurance Officer for the Oklahoma Conservation Commission (OCC). She has worked for the OCC’s Water Quality Program since June 1997. Her main duties include project planning, quality assurance plan development, and report development and presentation to EPA, other state agencies, and the public. She also represents OCC on state working groups. Prior to coming to the Commission, she worked for two years at the Oklahoma Water Resources Board in the Lakes Section of their Water Quality Division. Shanon earned her Masters in Zoology from Oklahoma State University, working on the Clean Lakes Study on Lake Tenkiller, studying nutrient limitation. She earned her Bachelor’s in Biology from Kansas State University. Shanon lives in Oklahoma City with her husband Jon and son Cooper.
