Service Award: Brooks Tramell, 10 Years

Brooks grew up on a truck farm in Gore Oklahoma and graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Fisheries Ecology. Currently, he lives in a home that he himself built on the shores of Lake Tenkiller with his son BK. He has been with OCC in the Water Quality division for 10 years and is the division’s monitoring coordinator. His duties include supervision of all monitoring staff, monitoring design, site selection, development of standard operating procedures, installation and operation of automated sampling equipment, coordination with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, Corporation Commission, Department of Wildlife Conservation and Department of Environmental Quality on joint monitoring projects, and training of the team that sub-samples the Commission’s benthic macroinvertebrates.
